notes : a locational sound piece for tape involving a reading of two texts written in the same year, 1897 : stephane mallarme's poem 'un coup de des' ('one toss of the dice never will abolish chance'), and the Kapiti Island Public Reserve Act, texts recorded onto a and b sides. cassette was then taken to the sea at rangatira and audio of reading overwritten with site recording, just on sundown, 27.5.2012. tape palimpsest immediately buried at the same spot on the shoreline. location finders : vertical marker of whalebone, GPS co-ordinates. tape successfully retrieved from site on the 1st June 2012.
